Mike is a member of the Southern Outdoor Sportsman Pro Staff. With over ten years experience, he really knows his stuff. On the SOS team Mike is known as our "small waters" expert. He knows the rivers and lakes of Eastern NC very well. Owning several private bass fishing lakes gives Mike the opportunity to guarantee catching a respectable bass. He will take the time to teach new fishermen and experienced fishermen his unique methods and share his knowledge in a private setting. Ty specializes in striped bass, but also catches large-mouth, catfish, white perch, and white bass. He furnishes all the equipment. All you need to bring is your fishing license. His 23-foot bay boats or his 21-foot flat bottom boat can accomodate small or large groups. He also has corporate charters available. Ty provides services to those with learning disabilities, or physical limitations and has wheel chair accessibility.

Ty fishes 12 months out of the year on the following lakes:
Lake Norman, Lookout, MT. Island, Hickory, and Rhodhiss. Trips are also available in Tennessee if you are interested in trophy size fish ranging from 20 to 40 lbs. No matter if the weather is hot, cold, rainy, or dry, fishing is great all-year round.

Al is a master fly fishermen. He has created his own custom fly just for the Smith River trout. The "Allie Worm" is a killer when it comes to the cold water trout on the Smith. Just over the Virginia border in central Virginia below Philpott Lake is where Al guides. He has a beautiful cabin not far from the river. You can stay at the cabin with Al or he can book a hotel room for you. The Smith is a short drive away and is a great alternative to the western part of the state.
